Arcual Life: Meet Our Ecosystem Development Manager, Noelia!

September 29, 2023

We explore the career highlights, professional background, and passions of our Ecosystem Development Manager.

Tell us about your professional background?

My background is quite varied: I held positions at the Pompidou Center in Paris and also at Christie’s where I collaborated on web3 Projects, did telephone bidding and operated business and sales support. I also worked at the Art and Tech start-up Art World Insights, where I was part of the founding members. I sold the first product pre-funding to our first paying customer and worked with the CEO on key growth initiatives. The experience in the start-up and my time at Christie’s during the 2021 web3 boom ignited in me the need to combine Art and Innovation. That has led me to Arcual...

What was a career highlight?

This year's career highlight - so far - is being published on Right Click Save! It was an amazing opportunity and an honour to showcase my thoughts on the future of royalties. Being published has always been a career goal.

What drew you to Arcual?

The intersection of blockchain technology with traditional art. I always thought that the traditional Art market was lagging behind other industries and Arcual could make innovation accessible to artists, collectors and galleries, helping them to become future-ready. It was also super exciting to be one of the earliest Arcual team members!

What does a typical day look like for you and the team?

Every day is different! However, I start my days at 8:30-9:00 with a matcha. I usually spend 30 minutes planning for the day ahead and replying to emails, LinkedIn DMs and messages from the team. The rest of the day is usually organised around external meetings. When I am not talking with ecosystem leads, I usually keep updated with everything that is happening in the Art & tech space, creating proposals, thinking of ways to enhance and develop our products and of course, having internal meetings.

What is your favourite thing about culture at Arcual?

The teamwork, the brainstorming and the people. My colleagues at Arcual have great ideas and it is a pleasure to work with people who are driven and highly innovative. Also, we are a diverse team with so many different backgrounds. I find it inspiring to exchange ideas with so many different voices.

What would you be, if you weren’t Arcual’s Ecosystem Development Manager?

A VC or Angel investor! One of the most exciting things about being an ecosystem development manager is having the opportunity to speak with founders, ecosystem builders and business developers daily. I love finding exciting new ideas, products, business models, and companies. It keeps me going and there are some out there that I would love to support. I believe one of the best ways of building the future and amplifying impact is by allocating investment resources to those ideas. I would also love to write a book!

Where do you see Arcual in two years?

Wow! Two years is a super long time in the start-up world. I see Arcual as the paramount solution to cross-border payments in the Art World.
